Our Role

Lead Developer

Grapital City was based on the foundation of our passions as a studio. With our past success in developing fighting games in hand, we created a world that was built by heroes to celebrate the glorious traditions of melee combat. Our super-objective was to bring joy back to competitive gaming in a setting that colorful and humorous. Those goals informed everything from world art to gameplay design.

CHAMPION FOCUS

Character customization was the driving force of this free-to-play Brawler Royale. Players were invited to create a unique fighter from an array of body types, skin tones, and accessories. The community that gathered around this game had a wide variety of options to express themselves creatively, through the design of their Rumbler and their approach to the many ways to fight in the game.

CRITICAL ACCLAIM

Rumbleverse was received as a welcome innovation for both fighting games and the battle royale genre. Despite the fact that free-to-play games are infrequently reviewed, the title received a 9/10 from IGN. The industry also took notice of our accomplishment with two nominations for DICE Awards, including Fighting Game of the Year and Online Game of the Year.
