Player Support Manager

This opportunity is for a temporary position in Chicago, IL. Iron Galaxy employees are all working from home through April 2021 due to COVID-19. This WFH policy extends to anyone that Iron Galaxy hires between now and then. All new-hire onboarding is being done remotely, and any equipment that you might need for projects at Iron Galaxy will be shipped directly to you.

Iron Galaxy is looking for a Player Support Manager to keep our players informed. We need a technical mind who can lead the public conversation about the status of our games. Our Player Support Manager will own everything from real times updates about live services to patch notes. This is a job about conveying crucial information and understanding the complexities of the experience we create for players.

This opportunity is for a 12 month temporary full-time position in Chicago, IL

Responsibilities:

  • Create blog content to document gameplay issues and development solutions

  • Coordinate with a live-ops producer on real time social media alerts

  • Participation in triage to assist developers in identifying crucial issues

  • Analytics on commonly reported issues that compromise game experiences

  • Collaborate with external partners on providing real-time updates to the Internet

Qualifications:

  • Strong written communication skills for technical writing

  • Experience with quality assurance for video games

  • Proficiency in understanding game-breaking issues

  • Ability to collaborate with many disciplines at a fast pace

  • Social media experience or understanding of service
